About
Chris Statham

My Story

I’m 46, have lived in 9 countries (Europe, Middle-East, and Africa), and travelled to over 50 more. I have 4 kids and built 2 houses from the foundations up... but now going through a messy divorce. I have been mostly self-employed during my adult life working as a freelance consultant in micro and digital finance.  I have run 2 marathons, was in the British Territorial Army and enjoy rugby and cricket. I’ve talked to friends, strangers, murderers, addicts, and therapists. I’m happy to share my social, cultural, religious, racial, and sexual opinions through my words. My life is one of ups and downs, but never stagnating… and this is why I write, design plots and build characters, why I am an author, poet and call myself the Paperback Writer.
